Post #5 - March 17th, 2010, 2:42 pmWas craving BBQ today, and decided to head over to Smokey's Woodpit BBQ in Oswego, IL. Very big, clean restaurant. A cut above other BBQ places. You walk in, and you can tell that the smoker is workin. Great menu, with everything you want in BBQ: Ribs, Tips, Pulled Pork, Brisket, Chicken + Gyros, Hot Dogs, Burgers and more...
They have a new sandwich on their menu, Smokey's Ruben - Texas Toast with Swiss Cheese, Pulled Pork, Cole Slaw. I couldn't help myself, I had one, and ordered another to go.
They are located on Route 30 and Douglas road in front of Kendall 10 movie theatre.

The (Plus Oswego IL) can now be removed from Smokey's as only the Yorkville location remains.
Was putting together a list of BBQ places out here in the west burbs for an upcoming lunch and found this place was now a taco place, but it was too late and if it is open yet, it was closed at the time so I couldn't try out the new owners offerings.Bill-Aurora
