We will always post it on our website, http://www.chicagotoons.com and try to create an event here. If you are a Facebook person you can always friend Toons bar and we have much more info on that than any other spot. We will try and have one more Boil in April before our Grand finale which is always the Sunday during Memorial Day Weekend. This Year it is Sunday May 30. After that crawfish season is over and it is time to concentrate on BBQ and pig roasts!! Thanks for your interest.

Danny -- just out of curiosity, how are you finding the crawfish this year? My mother was in town from Baton Rouge this week and she said it has not been a great season (I believe on account of colder than normal weather), with the crawfish smaller than in recent years and supplies more limited (with corresponding higher prices). Of course, the crawfish tend to get bigger and more bountiful as the season goes on, so perhaps this is in part a function of particularly bad early part of the season that may yet turn around.

    Matt,
I get my Crawfish shipped from Lacrawfish.com. They are the largest shipper of live crawfish. They are a family run busines and I have used them for over 5 years and have always had great success with them. You are correct on the price this year. It has not come down at all since I ordered early February for the Superbowl. That is very unusual. The crawfish stay buried because of the cold. They are smaller as well.I have read on some chat boards and Nola.com that they are starting to get bigger now. I am hoping a little more warm weather down there should get the season on a roll!! Hope to see you out next saturday!!

Sad to be the first to have to leave but WHAT a feast!!!! Thanks to Danny and co. for taking me back 25 years or so when i last had a few pounds of crawfish in newspaper sitting before me :P

Everything was perfect--if these are the "small" crawfish, i'd hate to see the big ones--they were exactly as i remembered them from my college years in N.O.--salty/sweet (mmm...the sweet tamale (sp?)and juices in the head), tasty corn and potatoes--and even keilbasa!! Washed down with some Gumballhead and accompanied by a very nice LTH turnout--couldn't ask for a better afternoon. Oh yeah--just remembered the little "souvenir" crawdad i stuffed in my purse to show the boys--must get that out now or I'll be smelling like crawfish for weeks!!!

Beers, Bugs, ad Basketball was alot of fun esterday. As usual Toon's, and Danny knocked it out of the park. Great crawfish boil, great drinks, and a great time with the LTH folks who came out. Didnt want to even think about food or alcohol when i got home @ 1:30 this morning.

However the bucket of crawfish in my fridge are calling my name now.

Thanks again Danny, and all the folks that made yesterday a blast.

It's hard to beat winning combination of mudbugs, award winning wings, March Madness, and last but not least, contingent of LTH'ers, for a great time.

Oh, did I mention the beer? Abita purple haze, Three Floyds, and loads of others on tap and whatnots. And the Jim Beam?

And the G Wiv, his bride, and the stevez? The boudreaulicious? Da Beef? Khaopaat? The man himself, jhawk1 and his team that endured the snow showers all day stirring the colossal caldrons of mudbugs. The jimswside that inspired us all to join in the great time.

    Thank you all!

It was indeed one hell of an afternoon...the bugs (and links, kielbasa, mushrooms, garlic, corn, etc.) were delicious, the company was great, and the drinks hit the spot (Half Acre Over Ale, Metropolitan Krankshaft Kölsch, Abita Purple Haze, Miller Lite, Jameson, and Knob Creek for me...this morning was ROUGH).

I'm glad I was finally able to make it to one of these, and look forward to hitting future boils!

A big Thanks To all the LTHers who made this boil a great success! Jim happy birthday to you tomorrow thanks for coming in! We will probably put one more of these on the books in late April as a warm up for the Grand Daddy of all crawfish blowouts Memorial Day weekend. That will be Sunday May 30th. It is an all day affair that usually we cook about #1000 of the lovely Mudbugs! Again Thanks to all.

Man another excellent Saturday afternoon...despite the snow in late March. Count me in as one of the many who couldn't tell you a better way to spend your Saturday afternoon in Chicago than at one of these things with the LTH crew.

Great times and great eats. Nice to see the regulars there and great meeting the LTR's who showed up for this one this time around. I would highly encourage anyone who hasn't been, to get their behinds to the next one. As good as the bugs are, I cant get enough of them Child's Play Hot Dogs (cheap ones) that get infused with the cooking liquid, they're so good. I cant wait for the next one. Oh ya, did I mention the excellent tap selection?
