I've never been there. Recommended by a friend and reviewed in the Reader - http://www.chicagoreader.com/chicago/so ... id=1024322

Pickings are slim for Korean Buffets, Korean Garden closed, Kang Nam Galbi switched back to menu years ago, which leaves Song Do Korean B.B.Q, maybe. While the Reader review says buffet LL Shatkin has not been with the Reader for 5-years, I'd suggest calling Song Do first if one's heart is set on Korean Buffet.

Sang Do is acceptable for AYCE Korean bbq, but my go to place has recently changed to Woori Village.

I believe they recently moved, as the old thread to Woori Village does not have the same address:

    Woori Village
    8526 W Golf Rd
    Niles, IL 60714

For 25 bucks per person, you can get unlimited marindated/unmarindated kalbi, pork belly, brisket, and a few other proteins, your typical panchan, and your typical kalbi accompliments, lettuce, scallion salad, bean paste. You also get bean soup, rice, and your choice of hot or old Naengmyun. Everything is 'to order' so theres no table where you go grab your meat. You just tell the service which items you want refilled and they bring it out to you.
