My partner and I will be moving this fall to SF. I am going to definitly miss Chicago's vast array of unique food shopping experiences (not going to miss the weather, thats for sure!)

One of the gems I've come to love and rely upon during BBQ season (which really is all year round IMO) is Peoria Packing, on Lake St. As anyone who has completed Prof. Wiviott's Five Step Program, this is a one stop shop for all things piggy to be smoked.

Does anyone know of any such store in SF or Oakland, or some of the surrounding suburbs? It will probably be tough to duplicate that store, but I hope to find a source for bulk ribs, hot links and pork shoulder!

    Thanks!!

    Hi LTH,

I posted this a while back and just remembered that I had.

I am now living in SF and am looking for shops that sell packer cut briskets and any smoking necessities. Also looking for any suggestions on where to go for BBQ I brought back from Chicago the last trip two racks of Honey 1 spares and an XL tip/link combo. I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to find anything like that unless I make it myself.

    Thanks!!!
    Joel
