I propose Curry House, Nepalese lunch buffet, for the next Loop Lunch meet:

    viewtopic.php?f=14&t=22665&hilit=curry+house
    http://www.curryhouseonline.com/

    Chicago Curry House
    899 S. Plymouth Ct.
    Chicago, IL-60605
    Tel: 312-362-9999

They have a la carte menu available as well, but I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet. Bountiful array of soups, salads, appetizers, meat, vegetarian entrees, and one of the best Kheer in my book. Lighter than India House with fresher and brighter flavors. I did not feel heavy and sloth-like after my feast, relatively speaking. Fresh naans at the table once you are seated and dig in. Reminds me of Dosai in SF.

Given that it's buffet and they have spacious dining room, I'm sure that they can handle a somewhat large party, but I will confirm. Ample street parking and public transport. $5 validated parking in garage next door, if necessary.
UPDATE as fo 3/26: They can accomodate a party of any size, so join us if you can. Time constraint will not be an issue either.

Please join in another Loop feast!

I'm in! I know we had another possibility on the table (gyro's) but it hasn't made it onto the event board yet so since we're up and running with this suggestion, I'd say let's push the gyro spot to May. Never had Nepalese....mmmmm :D Thanks PG!!

Woohoo!!! Never had Napalese before this either, but it's almost identical to India, except more delicious at the Curry House anyways.

We can always do Greek Town in May, is that considered gyro? Perhaps a place with an outdoor patio?

Hey fellow curry fans, reservation has been made under "LTH". Just give me a heads-up if your plans changed, so I can make the adjustments.

But hoping for a magical day, where everyone can make to lunch on a gorgeous Spring day.

    See you there!
