Cajun Connection's GNR renewal time is here,

That being the case I'd like to put together an early supper at Cajun Connection on Saturday, April 3rd. @ 4:00 p.m. sharp.

Just happens to be a weekend where Ron is having one of his crawfish boils as well. Of course the regular menu is available.

Come on out for another visit, or maybe your first, and see what is so special about this place.

    http://www.ronscajunconnection.com

I'd like to limit the the group to 10.

    attendees: (8)

Count me in, Jim. Will see if I can convince anyone else to come along - maybe the Bride will make the trip this time.

Jim - Oh my, you know how much I wanted to check out this joint, but a friend is in from out of town so I'm a tentative. I will also have to look into transport as well, if I can make. I will keep you posted. Great idea, though. There isn't any trains out that way is there from the City?

You're too sweet. Let me check and confirm with you tomorrow. She won't be interested in this, perhaps we'll catch up over brunch or something.

    Jim-

My wife and I would like to come, and - if you're not oversubscribed, to invite my cousin and his wife; we've had with them a standing but not yet scheduled visit to Cajun Connection. If we make a too-large group, we will do it on our own, later.

Please let me know. (I haven't mentioned this to him yet.)

We're not inexperienced in Cajun food. If you need instruction, we can teach you how to suck heads. (That's not an obscenity.)

    CARPOOL?

Our condo is at County Line Road right beside I-55 , which is the route to Utica. We could carry two people between Burr Ridge to the party and back, reducing the Forum's carbon footprint at least a little. Algore would be proud!

You should be warned, though, I'm an over-60 driver in a Toyota. God knows what could happen... we might get to Utica in six or seven minutes.

However, my '02 Avalon hasn't been recalled... yet

And if you're still nervous, I'll take the floor mats out for the duration of the trip.

Shouldnt take more than an hour & twenty minutes from Burr Ridge to Utica, I do the commute to Burr Ridge(83 & I-55) during the work week every day, & even with traffic it is typically about an hour(Utica is about 20 minutes west of my house)

dessert for the night is strawberry bread pudding, in addition to their typical pecan pie.

4:00 sharp folks, as that is when they open, and we dont want to get caught in the line that forms soon after. I will probably get there 3:45 ish.

Anyone who wants to can meet up @ my house(in route to Utica off I-80), and carpool the rest of the way. If this is the case let me know, & probably plan on being out at my house around 3:00, perhaps for a couple pre dinner beverages. :D

    Jim-

If you want to give your address, I can look into stopping at your place to carpool.

We haven't had any takers yet for a ride from Burr Ridge. I think the Toyota thing may have scared them off!

I am VERY bummed to have to cancel but I have a family emergency and have to go to Tampa Friday. Hopefully someone can help Petite Gourmande make it out there so she doesn't have to miss too...

Looking forward to seeing pics posted :)

I have some errands to run Saturday before and perhaps after supper @ CC, so probably best for all to meet @ Cajun Connection @ 4:00, I will probably get there @ 3:45 to try to secure a table as soon as the doors open.

Still (2) spots open for any last minute folks.
