We're heading to Sonoma for a quick weekend in May, and thought I'd see what you all suggest for lunch/dinner spots in Sonoma. We'll stop in Sausalito for a late lunch on the way up, so if you have suggestions for Sausalito, please share them. I'm hoping Le Garage will be open late enough for us, but in case not, please let me know of any place with great food and wine, and preferably outdoor seating. Thank you!

Love Ran Sushi in Sausalito--no idea if they're open for lunch though...

roachb, I am also headed to Sonoma in early May. You can find a number of other mentions of some places up Sonoma way in existing threads:

Fewer, Sonoma & Sausalito but some mentions here:

Please do report back on what you find/decide on.

    And there's this thread.

Assuming you're looking for recommendations in Sonoma County (and not just Sonoma), I highly recommend Zazu, and Willi's Wine Bar. I wanted to get to the old standby, The Girl and the Fig, but it was a little too far from where I was staying to make the trip.

Willi's Wine Bar (Other locations, the Santa Rosa location is my favorite)

I love all 3 suggestions by aschie. I'd also like to throw in a couple more.

Great place for lunch in Healdsburg. They cure their own meats.

Here's a tiny place also in Healdsburg for wonderful Italian.

ReverendAndy, thanks for the tips. I had already scoped out Bovolo after seeing the co-ownership on the Zazu site. I definitely plan to eat there and report back.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. We tentatively thinking Le Garage in Sausalito and then Bouchon the next evening up in Yountville. Have been to The Girl and The Fig when I lived out there, but didn't know if it was still around, so will try to make it there. Thanks again!
