pairs - I plan to be there by 11:45, if you wish to join me and get started earlier, so you can make it back to Daley by 1pm sharp, with minutes to spare.

There is a remote chance I will be able to join you but, at the moment, it looks highly unlikely. Expect me to miss the lunch; my apologies to all.

We will have to make it up another time for lunch then. We will miss you. Have a good Friday and great weekend to all.

Thank you everyone for joining us today, especially given the South Loop location. Thankfully it was buffet, so everyone was able to dig without waiting for the tardy hostess.

It was a pleasure meeting Ann and Chinois today, and reconnecting with everyone else.

Hope to see you all again at the next Loop lunch.

And while we were a non-picturing taking crowd, I think I speak for the group in saying that we all thoroughly enjoyed that delicious buffet.

I've never knowingly partaken of Nepalese cuisine and I'm sorry about that because Curry House was wonderful! Bright colors and brighter flavors abounded--neither a given in most buffet indian cuisine around town. The yellow lentils, palak paneer and chana masala were all lighter in both heft and salt than usual so that you could actually really taste the spices. The tandoori chicken was moist and savory to the bone. The stewed goat was a bit dry but so tasty. And finishing with the sweet shredded carrots was the perfect light end to the meal. Great company as usual-- I nice mix of new and familiar faces. Thanks for organizing PG!!

Thanks petite gourmande for arranging this lunch. It was a quick one today, so I didn't get to meet everyone, but I am really glad to know that this place is here. It was a short bus ride. The food was pretty good for a buffet and the staff was really pleasant.

I don't know how close this is to authentic Nepalese, seems more like Indian with brighter and more delicate flavors to me, maybe that is Nepalese. Will do some research and get back to y'all. Either way, it is enjoyable and thankfully not as heavy as most Indian buffet. Bonus is that my clothes are fragrant free, too.

It's good to have another Indian buffet option in the downtown area. We'll have a more leisurely visit at the next event. Great to see you and Jman.

I'll add to the thanks for petite_gourmande arranging this luncheon. I was impressed by the buffet, while not the most adventuresome I've ever seen the flavors were fresh and bright although I assume spicing was toned down for the clientele they attract. I was taken by the Dahi Aloo Poori, a wonderful combination of flour crisps with garbanzo and diced potatoes mixed with tamarind, mint and chutney. The yellow lentils, goat and the wonderful shredded carrots, cooked down until they were candy sweet, were all very good, although I agree the goat was a bit dry. I'm delighted to have a new spot in the South Loop to add to my rotation.

The Aloo Poori was my favorite, too. The flavors were very nice, but wish it was a little warmer on the temperature side. It was much better on my previous visit, but it was also much busier today, too, which might have an impact.

Thank you for coming and adding to the festivities, wish we could have stayed for a longer visit, and didn't have to rush back to work.
