I've been driving past this place alot and wondering why no one has posted about the place here on LTH?

    What's it like?

    This might help.

But really - is this is the joint on River Road?
Take one for the team. I've wondered myself what lies behind those fancy faux columns. Toss it into the LTH search, a few hits, nothing really informative. David Hammond wrote it was, "...not terribly expensive nor terribly good."

I used to work near there and would eat lunch there from time to time. They have a lunchtime buffet which is nothing spectacular.

The menu entrees are pretty unadventurous. Nothing there was appalling. Nothing there ever made me think that I'd like to eat lunch there the next day either. Its simple Italian-American style seafood. Nothing more. Nothing less.

It may seem like this gentlemen (clearly a "connoisseur") knows what he is talking about but TRUST ME he DOESN'T. I've been going to Pescatore Palace Restaurant & Banquet Hall basically all of my life. The food, service, and atmosphere is absolutely amazing! This place is always packed to the maximum, so obviously it is very good! This food is truly straight from Italy-considering the chef & owner is. DUH! It's clear to me that some American's just don't know true Italian food, service, and atmosphere so please go back to Mc Donalds.

OHHH and the menu. It has about everything you have a taste for. Fish, pasta, chicken, meat, and even vegeterian dishes. Not to mention kids menus, pizza, gluten-free pasta! EVERYTHING!

How can this place be so "bad" considering it was on Channel 7 News with Steve Dolinksy and the Hungry Hound!

Maybe it's just me, but the three times that we have been to Pescatore Palace ( each time on a Saturday night ) the place has been anything BUT crowded. They were doing some banquet business, but the main dining room was virtually empty.

The food wasn't bad, as others have said, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there.

    Steph -
While I won't say anything bad at all about Pescatore Palace since I've never been, I will say that you aren't doing them any big favors by saying it's good because it's always packed, or because the Hungry Hound visited. McDonald's is doing a fairly brisk business, and You can't walk more than 5 steps in Chinatown without seeing Stevie D's mugshot on a window.

I'd love to hear about what specific things the place does that you like. For real. I already went to the PP website (oh come ON, get yer mind outta the gutter!) and saw the vid clip. I'm interested. Seems like they have some serious experience.

Me, too. I haven't been to Pescatore Palace in like 6-7 years, so I'd be curious to know what they're serving now that is particularly good. And just to be clear, I never thought it was bad (or "amazing").

I have been to Pescatore a time or two and the food is good. They have good fish entree's like the zuppa di pesce and mixed grilled seafood. I have visited most of the Barbanente family restaurants, but I am a huge fan of the one in the suburbs.

Did you know Pescatore Palace has a secret room called Santa Romantica up the stairs behind the bar? It's built for two on a rendezvous.
