I'd love to join you, but 6:30 is a bit on the early side. Any chance of moving it up to 7?

Joan, there's space. So you aren't keeping anyone out. It seems inevitable that at the last minute someone can't make it or wants to join anyhow. I'm putting you in.

I just saw this. I'm planning on being there with 3 other people at around 5:30. Maybe I'll run into some of you before I leave. First time there so I'm looking forward to it. I'll be headed to Teaser's (my brother's bar) afterward to watch the Blackhawks.

Did anyone mention what the price might be per person? Also, I assume we're serving LTH-style, or what my parents call sharesies?

Yep but there's at least 1 vegetarian there. No I didn't coordinate on pricing but I figure if we focus on the pizza it should be reasonable. There's not much else to focus on besides that glorious pizza, in my opinion, although the salad was very nice & the desserts were surprisingly good.

Thanks to pairs4life for organizing such a tasty dinner! Mr. Pie enjoyed his piece too. I think I may have tried my first and second-to-last piece of anchovy (I'll give it one more shot).

I think we were all hungry in anticipation plus no appetizers or salad as suggested coupled with boudreaulicious' keen observation that the large pizzas are a normal large not the kind of thing we call large today where "tall" denotes small. :)

Have to say that I loved the vibe of the place but only liked the pizza...I found the cheese to be a bit overdone (I don't like when it forms a "shell" on top) and the sauce a bit sweet for my taste. Certainlyl didn't stop me from inhaling my share and, as always, enjoyed the LTH company :P

Thanks for organizing PFL and for anyone wondering---bus, to the train to a cab at Irving and arrived at exactly 8:00!!

I'm glad you posted. Another friend felt the same way. Hope she posts as well.

I like overdone cheese. I grew up on cheese toast & loved it when the American cheese single got brown & puffed (but not the bread). :D

I'm a Barnaby's girl so take my opinion for what it's worth :) In the city, for Chicago-style thin, I think I still prefer Malnati's and Calo's has entered the rotation as well (the boys in my house like the thinner crust better than the heavier Lou's). And the new place next door, Serio, is pretty decent for pie cut/brick oven style.

    Next up--Candlelite!!!
