I couldn't find another thread about this great place up on Kimball just north of Foster. They have pretty decent empenadas. When I went I had a beef, ham & cheese and veggie. All were prepared with a careful touch, and fried in small batches atop a cast iron skillet. The owner was pretty friendly. Couldn't stop talking about the other items on the menu. They all sounded appetizing. The adobo chicken piqued my interest. But, I was only there for empanadas. I meant to bring the three home to share with my wife but I ate two in the car.

    Hi,

    Is it Filippino?

    Regards,

Yes it's Filipino, it's relatively new. I've been meanin to try it but haven't gotten around to it so if anyone else reports that'd be great.
Also Paciugo on Broadway in lakeview will be serving durian gelato next Friday. In case anyone is curious... great gelato place, lots of great flavors.

They will be featured on the Hungry Hound tonight.

Everytime I drive past there are people eating there, so I think they must be pretty good.
