memphis in may-2010

hey gang,
heading to memphis in may bbq competition this weekend.
memphis in may is the superbowl of bbq(1 of 3 superbowls)the jack,&royle being the others
i am judging on fri(blind box judging) anything but.
anything but is exotic meats ,beef,seafood,poultry. also on fri is
sauce's ,hot wings,cole slaw & beans.

there will be about 550 judge's on fri judging blind box only.
sat. i will be 1 of 250 judge's some doing blind pork boxes & some doing on site .
i did on site rib's last year hopping to on site hog this year.

buzz from 2fat bikers bbq team is traveling with me on this trip again.

so far we have planned to stop on the way down at strawberry s bbq in holcomb,mo.
thin to fayette packing co. to check out some pork product's
& morrison's to get a pork sammy.

going to go to gus's fried chicken fri. or sat. some time.
&B.B. KINGS& SILKY'S on beal st.
sat. after the contest is over heading to jonesboro,ar. to hit demo's bbq .
sun. we will see if want to stop at all on the way home.

I always wanted to go to MiM. Tried to catch the tail end of the festival year last, but was stuck with stuff up here. Would go this year but I things to do for the Janesville Renaissance Faire.

then went to TOONS for a few cold drinks
&stopping at mario's on taylor for ice
heading to memphis around 2 am
