I didn't see this anywhere in your list, and I know that it has been overrun with people since Rick Bayless won Top Chef Masters, but Topolobampo has truly been the best meals that I've had for my money in Chicago.

I know that you said that you don't drink, but the wine pairings are interesting, but more importantly the food...

Everytime that I've been there I've had something that I've never seen, eaten, or heard of before. Last time for me was in the winter, when I was served stringed brisket which had been fried crisp, imagine crispy beef string tacos, simply awesome, and (in my experience original).

Add on top of that, the atmosphere is really very casual, and the meal couldn't have been better.

On your list though, I'm a big fan of Les Nomades. Not sure of your taste, but if you go to Nomades, you'll be sereved perfectly executed french food. Wine pairings are excellent and reasonable (I know this isn't an issue).

Congratulations on getting through law school and the bar, I hope that you enjoy wherever you end up going.
Life is on the wire, the rest is just waiting.

So far as I can tell there is not a review of Courtright on the board (the restaurant will occasionally send notices of their events). Obviously some of this is a function of location. But has anyone dined there in the past two years?
Toast, as every breakfaster knows, isn't really about the quality of the bread or how it's sliced or even the toaster. For man cannot live by toast alone. It's all about the butter. -- Adam Gopnik
