    Hi guys,
At this year's National Restaurant show, one of the guys working the Vienna Beef booth had a set of BBQ tongs on a headband, so it looked like they were going through his head - You know, like the old "oh no, i have an arrow/knife through my head" gimmick (http://c1334242.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspac ... k/ka46.gif)

Anyway, my dad was with me, and super into them, but when we asked where he got them, he said "oh, at an art fair in Portland a few years ago." After googling around, I can't seem to find anything comparable online... Anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get them? I'd love to do a pair for a father's day present.

And if you don't know where I can get them, but think you COULD make them yourselves, please, let me know. I think you'd make a killing, btw!

Thanks guys! Message, sent! Hopefully he'll have the maker's name or website.
    Fingers crossed.

I still mean it, though, if anyone has crafty skillz, you could make a fortune selling these things - especially now, around Father's Day.

I have no record of the maker of those head tongs. Some guy was selling them at an art show in Portland and I just couldn't pass them up.

Maybe you can try this artist, Mel B Jones. The tongs in his three picture series "Tongs through the head hat" look like the same ones.

Mike Kelley, better known as Spoonman, has been with the market since it opened in 1974. You'll hear where he is before you see him by the chiming of his spoon and fork mobiles. When you do get to his stand, you'll know him by his brightly tie-dyed spiral t-shirt and a pair of salad tongs that appear to be going through his head.

edit: Spoonman has a website (of course) http://www.spoonman.com/

OMG: he also makes whisks, cleavers, spatulas, golf clubs, hammers, plungers , drumsticks etc. etc. through the head.
