I will be meeting a few friends on Saturday morning, in the Logan Square area. After our meeting, we would like to grab lunch. However, it's not an area any of us are familiar with. Our meeting is near Kimball and Belden, but it doesn't look like there are any options within a short distance of that location. I've done a bit of research and found plenty of options nearby. But, we will have a 6 month old with us, and I just don't know what places will have little to no wait time, and be appropriate for an infant.

    Any ideas?

Yup, hopefully, your definition of "within a short distance" would include The Brown Sack. If it's not like "peak" lunch time, you'll do pretty good there with the little one.

Also a coupla blocks up Kedzie is Lula Cafe.

Brown Sack is a tiny lil sammich shop with (IMO) fantastic food. Soups, sides, sammiches, shakes - it's all good.
Lula is a lot more restauranty, but still has a neighborhood "place" kinda vibe.

I'd be happy to go to either.
We cannot be friends if you do not know the difference between Mayo and Miracle Whip.

We live in Logan Square and have a 7 month old. Most restaurants in the neighborhood are very accommodating to infants. If you don't want to wait, I wouldn't go to Lula, as you may be waiting for quite a while there.
Treat on North/Kedzie almost always is no wait and has wonderful food. I'd also recommend Revolution Brewery, El Cid (if weather is nice - the outside patio is awesome), Longman & Eagle, Cafe Bella.
    Have a great lunch!

You might want to also consider a new(ish) place: Cafe con Leche

    2714 Milwaukee Avenue
    Chicago, IL 60647-1308
    (773) 289-4274

It is not the same location as the ones listed in this thread, although it might be the same owner (don't have details): http://lthforum.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=21189&hilit=cafe+con+leche

We picked up breakfast there on Sunday - very good coffee, and a quite nice breakfast burrito and potatoes.
It's pretty laid back, and we saw at least one other kid - so you should be fine there too.

I'm actually headed there tomorrow - since they have the World Cup showing, and I don't have cable... Seems a nice way to start the day.

Cafe con Leche has been around for many years.....great neighborhood institution with fabulous breakfast items available any time. The new dining room is the addition, which is recent, but they have been supporting our neighborhood for many years, as long as I've been here plus (at least 6 years).

I echo what others have said, many of the restaurants do fine with children.

Another new option, Ciao Pizzeria at Logan/Milwaukee/Kedzie is open for lunch on weekends and has plenty of seating during the day.

There is a family-owned taqueria on the corner of Armitage and Kimball, Taqueria Garcia. Never a wait, inexpensive, and above average food with some interesting specials. They have had an excellent $5 pozole special running for a while now. Good tacos, open late.

Well, my friends ended up going to The Brown Sack, and they really enjoyed it. Thanks for all the other suggestions, as well. There are a few places I really want to try.

I didn't make it because, on the drive over, I was in an accident with an uninsured, unlicensed driver.

Wow...hope you're ok. You definitely deserve a trip to Brown Sack to make up for that!!
