    Chicago Helps the Gulf

    Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum
    2430 North Cannon Drive
    Chicago, IL 60614

    Sunday, July 25th from 5-7 p.m.

This reception is to thank people who make donations of $50 or more to either of the following charities:

The Greater New Orleans Foundation's Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund

    The Barataria Estuary Foundation

The steps to get into the reception are as follows:

    1. Make a donation to either charity linked above in the amount of $50 or more per person. Print and save the confirmation page or email receipt. This is the "ticket" you will need at the door.

    2. RSVP to chicagohelpsthegulf@yahoo.com to reserve your spot(s) at the reception.

The two-step ticketing process is set up so the organizers of the event won't have to worry about handling money at the door. They will consolidate the attendee list from the RSVP emails and confirm all paid attendees at the door.

Thanks for posting about this - sounds like a good event and the Notebart is a nice location. Some of my favorites participating and the cost is just right (still a bit dismayed at the Green City Market price hike here)

    Certainly an important cause.

Yeah, the line-up looks pretty darned good. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm available on the 25th but if I were, I'd definitely be going.

The folks from Big Jones were promoting this at the Green City BBQ tonight and said they thought it was going to be great ... and seemed really excited about cooking for it.

Seems like a great followup to tonight - and an even nicer experience since it won't be out in the heat ...
