I'm trying to find a place to buy Goya Discos - http://www.goya.com/english/product_sub ... ods/Discos. I live in Glenview and work in Lincoln Park (Fullerton and Halsted) so anywhere near to either location would be awesome.

    Thanks1

The Howard St. Jewel usually has them, believe it or not! I think that's sort of on your way home. If not, La Unica always carries them. FYI - there are a couple types: white, orange, and I think there's a large size.

Personally, I find the dough is really easy to make and infinitely better homemade.

I'm still kinda sleepy this AM and clicked on this thread because I thought I saw Gay Disco and wondered why it was on this food forum.

BTW - Goya now has a new product, which I picked up at Fresh Farms Niles (which has a terrific selection of Goya products.) Puff pastry discos! Though I love, love, love the handpie pastry I ordinarily use, these were far too convenient and I grabbed them for today's red, white, and blueberry pies.

(I'm hoping that the OP wasn't looking for these, but for the oil-based empanada dough. Jewel might well have started carrying these, but I'm not sure. They're in slightly different packaging; the empanada discos are in a square plastic bag, these are in a circular tub with a square plastic cover.)

While picking up some veggies yesterday, I noticed that Edgewater Produce carries the Goya Discos. Given that HarvesTime is (I believe...) under the same ownership and generally carries a superset of what Edgewater does, it's probably a safe bet as well.
