I am going to be in the Lincoln Park area on Sat. morning. Is it possible to put together a picnic lunch for two at the market? I don't know if I will be able to by the food in a small quantity. If not, I may need to bring a cooler. Any suggestions on which vendors I should visit?

You can buy food in any quantity, be it a single tomato, a shot of wheatgrass or a muffin. You can not only assemble a picnic on your own, but there are vendors who will prepare food for you to consume there (crepes, sandwiches). Just be forewarned that it's an "upscale" farmer's market with very good quality products at pretty high prices.

Here's a list of "usual" vendors:

Although most usually show up, sometimes the one you want won't be there.

    HI,

I would bring a cooler in case you see something you must have for later. You will only regret leaving it at home or at least I always do.

Thanks for the info. It will be interesting to see how this farmer's market differs from the ones in the northwest suburbs.
