I just received a bag of Pili Nuts from my parents' recent trip to the Philippines. Me and my husband are nuts over these nuts! When you roast them and carmelize them yourself, they are the best! They have sort of an almond macademia nut buttery texture. I found a bottle at some of the Filipino stores, but their coated with to much carmelization and you have to chip away at it. Does anybody know where I can get this domestically? It's also know as the Java Almond nut and few other names that I'm too lazy to grab off the net. I goggled it and couldn't find a source that sells it fresh. I have relatives that live in the PI (Philippine Islands), but that would be too much of a burden for her to travel to another province to get them. Help!
