Question : Would there be a market for a smaller type of aquarium smoker for home use?
The best example I can think of would be something like this.

Made by Royal Chef out of Tennessee. Some of the best motif designed grills ever made in the 1950's and 60's. Enjoy the ride....and Barbecue of course.

Any thoughts on this or has anyone seen anything like this before?
Love to have a mini or smaller glass pit/aquarium smoker in the back yard. Wonder if I can find someone to make one?

Cool looking smoker! Have you seen some of the unusual designs by Klose.

Aquarium Smokers are custom made, you might contact Jim Brunetti at Avenue or Javier at Belvin for for size and price. You should also check on used Aquariums, I'd guess there are a number for sale.

Please forgive the silly/ignorant question, but I've never seen an aquarium smoker close-up-- is it really based on a fishtank? How many gallons?

    Not a silly/ignorant question. Here's a recent article on the subject - http://chicago.timeout.com/articles/mus ... um-smokers

The design is evocative of a fish tank.
