Some hits, some misses. This is not destination dining, and I don't think they are striving for that. I think it's more of a neighborhood spot. I wish them all the success they desire, and hope they do extremely well.
We went with one of their meals for two called "The Honey Set" for 50 bucks:
HONEY SET $50
2 miso soup
2 seaweed salad
1 dynamite
2 pcs tuna
2 pcs yellowtail
2 pcs salmon
2 pcs red snapper
2 pcs cook shrimp
2 pcs eel
6 pcs spicy tuna roll
6 pcs king in roll
Miso:

This was served a few degrees above body temp. Barely warm on the tongue. I prefer a much hotter presentation. It was standard issue except for one thing. It had a sweet tint to it. I've never encountered this before. Something was giving this a sweetness. I asked the Mrs. if she noticed this as well. She definitely did. We were both very unimpressed with the temp and the sweetness. I think we each made it through about half of our bowls and gave up. The sweetness was just not our thing, and it went from barely lukewarm to cold pretty quickly.
Seaweed Salad -

Much better luck with this, IMO. I actually really liked this. Nice and cold, the dressing wasn't overbearing with sweet, or vinegar, and there were some chile flakes that gave it a mild kick. I dug it a lot.
"Dynamite:"

Menu description:
"crabmeat, masago, with spicy mayo on fire."
My description:
"Generous scoop of shredded surimi mixed with mayo, sesame oil, a decent hit of chile, and then warmed up."
I took two bites. The first bite was to try it, the second bite was to confirm that surimi flavor, and to at least enjoy the nice hit of chile before tapping out. D/c had three bites before calling it quits. If you dig surimi, you might really like this.
I can't do surimi. Just can't. It just doesn't taste right to me.
Our pretty sushi platter:

Winner was the salmon.

Second place went to the tuna:

Spicy Tuna was overtaken by the Kewpie. The Mrs. told me she was wondering when I was gonna comment on the mayo "situation." I kinda kept it to myself.

We also had a round of wasabi tobiko which was essentially the opposite of what I hope for when I order these:

I was hoping for that "slap the table wasabi kick in the pants via nasal passage" but alas, it just didn't happen. It was just tobiko with a faint wasabi flavor.
Taking the decent prices into consideration, this could be an ok neighborhood spot. Figure out what's good that day, and roll with it. Nice place, airy, concrete floors, tall chairs, very friendly staff. Hopefully you'll enjoy it if you go.
