I really had my tummy ready for some Snookelfritz ice cream today at Daley Plaza. Alas, she did not show.

Not let my girth get a chance to reduce, I did instead have a cream puff from Beard Papa. Good, but not close.

Dinner at Sun Wah last Thursday evening. Turned around and drove to LTH.

On the way to Well's Bros, I went to Kewpee's.

Showed up at Katy's Dumplings on Wednesday. . . about the 5th time I've done that. I have a customer nearby that likes to meet on Wednesdays, and my yearning for those noodles blocks my memory for their off day.

Went to the Brown Sack for breakfast last Sat. Closed because of electrical problems. Hung around for half an hour, still not fixed... Ended up at Logan Square Bar and Grill, consoled ourselves with a Bloody Marys. Just couldn't get the good food we missed out of our heads. We'll try again this weekend.

You know, Rob, not to rub salt in your wound, but Chicago Farmstand has Snooklefritz, and they were only 2 blocks away from Daley. Not quite the same, but close.

P.S. I was at Daley looking for S-Fritz, too, and not to be deterred, I ended up with Nice Cream from Chicago Farmstand. Blueberry Pie -- all cream, no egg, clean blueberry flavor and bits of Bulldog Bakery pie mixed in.

After leaving Big Star on Sunday, glanced to my right once we got up to North Ave. Had to resist the draw of the best pulled pork in the city from Lille's Q whose sign was in sight & was only a couple blocks away.

that was a long walk back to the car, and a long ride home kicking myself for not dropping in.

On the way to Podhalanka for some soup and pierogies, I got sidetracked by a chicken sandwich at Popeye's due to some apparently underdeserved hyping in an LTH thread. I asked for extra pickles. Instead, I got no pickles and a stale bun. Threw me off my game, so I just went home to pout.
What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?

You mean the Chick-Fil-A thread where even those of us recommending it (vs. other fast food) reported that it featured a stale bun and "looked terrible"? And you still picked it over Podhalanka?

Yeah, I plead temporary insanity. They are obviously cooking those chicken breasts to order. It took 5 minutes to get it and there was no one ahead of me.

All right, Mr. Burnett, I'm ready for my close-up.
