Dear Volunteer,

Don’t forget to RSVP for the Volunteer Appreciation Party!! It will be held on June 19th at Medici on 57th from 6:00pm-9:00pm. We’ll have great food, awards, and prizes—it’s a great chance to get to know other volunteers and for us to show you our gratitude for all your hard work. Alumni Pantry

Our alumni pantry is a grocery resource for graduated guests. We accept donations of canned foods and other non-perishable foods. We accept donations of canned foods and other non-perishable foods that alumni can use to prepare meals in their homes. You can drop a donation at either 6422 S. Cottage Grove (The Living Room Café) or 4554 N Broadway, Suite 207 (Inspiration Cafe).

Bag Lunches Needed!

We are trying to get bag lunches scheduled for our Weekend Engagement Center (60 total each weekend). This is a great group project. The lunches can be delivered Friday to 4554 N Broadway or Saturday morning to 4715 N Sheridan. Our Weekend Center visitors look forward to the sandwich, fruit, snack, and drink and lately they have been missing out. We ask that volunteers who make bag lunches also donate the food materials. Please contact Nell if you’re interested.

Dream Big

If you would like to volunteer with our after school program for children in the Woodlawn Community, please contact Faye Stauber. Her number is 773.643.6018 and her e-mail is fstauber@inspirationcorp.org. The kids are in need of tutors to help them with their homework after school…they would love it if you were there to assist them!


Weekend Engagment Center

Volunteers who are over 21 can help us at the WEC. The shifts are 10am-12pm and 12pm-2pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The WEC boasts a relaxed atmosphere and many friendly faces. Contact Nell if you are interested in helping out. We are in great need of bag lunches for this site!!

Healthy Living

If you would like to share your knowledge and talents with our guests and alumni, please contact Shannon Fahy (773.878.0981, extension 220; sfahy@inspirationcorp.org) to get involved. You could lead an arts and crafts workshop, teach a class on resume-writing, or give a lecture on healthy living habits. We are always looking for new ideas!

Art for All

Hey Volunteers- It’s Marathon Time!


The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon is a favorite Chicago tradition that has grown to be one of the world’s premier races. To raise money for all of our great programs, Inspiration Corporation is assembling Team Inspiration to participate in this great city-wide event. Help Inspiration Corporation recruit runners for this year’s LaSalle Marathon. The race is October 9th and our goal is to raise $50,000. But, first we must recruit at least 50 runners. With your help- we can get there! We need 2-3 people to attend upcoming running events and pass out flyers about running for Inspiration at the finish line. Please look at the dates of upcoming events or let us know of another event you are involved in. Perhaps you are thinking of running yourself?
