The
Tribune is reporting today that Target and Vienna Beef have inked a deal that will put the sausage-maker's hot dogs in the food courts of 1,350 stores. Target will also put hot dogs on the shelves of the 1,000 stores that have refrigerated areas.
It won't be the best chicago dog out there, I'm sure, but in, say, Marquette, Michigan, it'll certainly be the only one.
Vienna Beef estimates it'll boost sales of their hot dogs by 10%. Which is amazing.
The company beat out ConAgra (Hebrew National) and Sara Lee (Best's Kosher) for the Target deal.
