We'll also bring a bunch of water (a few cases or jugs or whatever from Costco) for everyone.

in for set up (and if past events are any indication, probably clean up as well).
Contributing a case of Uncle John's hot links (along with Glennpan and mbh) and will need a grill for them.
also bringing a cold side dish--probably raw corn salad if good corn is still available.

I'm in for set-up (and maybe clean-up--if I eat as much as I ate last year, I'll have to run home and take a nap in the middle). I changed my mind about the bao--kind of heavy and not sure how they will do in the heat. I will be bringing 2 Thai dishes--at least one will be a salad (probably pomelo if I can find good ones). I may try making Thai sausage as well.

I'm going to plan to attend but will need to do some maneuvering as I am leading a tour earlier that day and likely won't make it until near the very end, around 5:00 or so. So, I'll plan to make cookies that I can hopefully talk another LTHer to take to the picnic for me earlier in the day and then I'll swing by on my bike if people are still there and will help with clean-up. With helmet hair and bike shorts, I will not be at my most presentable, but hopefully my charming personality and willingness to collect garbage will make up for that

Here is what i know of so far as food goes. My guests are
    Deer sausage,
    Estonian sausage (especially for MHays),
    Niu Rou Mian,
basil lemonade (w/sugar and sugar free)
    blueberry crumble
    grandms's cheesecake
lots of meat: ribs, chuck roasts,

3 people, are still to-be-decided on what they're bringing.

We will bring david's homemade grill and if necessary i can bring an extra barrel style smoker, though it's not a WSM.

I will be bringing a barrel grill (horizontal, not UDS/WSM style) and will be happy to let someone use it after 12:00-12:30. I'll have plenty of lump charcoal and some wood (likely apple or cherry). I'll be arriving around 9 and will be happy to help with set up however I can.

Please put me down for 2.
I'll be bringing Thai grilled chicken thighs which we can treat as an appetizer for the purposes of spreadsheets.

I live quite close to the picnic grounds and I'd like to offer to arrive early and help with the setup.

Once again, I've updated the spreadsheet. PLEASE CHECK IT!!!(btw, we're keeping administrative permissions, so all you can do is view and PM me if there is a problem)

    Stats:

    178 guests bringing

    4 Appetizers
    11 Beverages
    1 bread
    1 condiment
    9 desserts
    12 Main
    6 Sides
    1 supply (cooler)

2 need grill, 4 bringing grill
4 for setup, 3 for cleanup

Suggestions, especially for those of you who would rather shop than cook: standard grill condiments, salt, pepper etc. (please keep the ketchup uproar to a minimum  ) Breads of various types (SWB, baguettes) coolers filled with ice to chill drinks, coolers filled with ice to serve in drinks.

Also, those of you who are campers - screen tents/portable canopies, large beach umbrellas, etc might be a good thing to pack to hedge our bets - there is a picnic shelter, I'm coming rain or shine - but there are an awful lot of people; extra shelter is a good thing for multiple reasons.

Entertainment is also a good thing to bring - portable games, musical instruments, whatever as long as it's family-friendly and you're responsible for it - speaking for myself, I'd be happy to consider singing for your supper a contribution.

Decided on my dish. Something I dreamt up for my last gig. Cavolo Nero- Black Tuscan Kale stuffed with Roasted Grapes, Barley, Ricotta, Pancetta and Basil Oil with Sun Dried Tomato-Toasted Almond Vinaigrette. Think it belongs in the app dept.

Can I get a recipe? Sounds perfect for a vegetarian sans pancetta?

Just back from the Middle East Grocery on Foster. The dates were so spectacular-looking (and sweet, I got a taste), I couldn't resist. I bought four pounds (I think that qualifies as the proverbial...um, wheelbarrow-load) and will bring them stuffed with manchego and mint and wrapped in prosciutto. Anyway, as an app. The Lovely Dining Companion intends to contribute a Gianduja tart with hazelnuts. A dessert, I reckon.

So our foods may now be officially entered on the spreadsheet.
