Jerusalem Cafe (Oak Park)

My go-to hummus and pita place in the OP, and typically not worth posting about. But I did notice - and maybe someone can confirm - a curious hand-written or type note hanging by the counter. Basically, off-menu, it offers a whole lamb service with tons of sides and whatnot, priced around $200 or so and requiring about a week's notice. Has anyone ever tried this? It sounds like it might be a great option for a party or special occasion.

Never tried that at Jerusalem Cafe, but Khyber Pass across the street offers a very similar option for a whole baby lamb plus sides (though I can't recall the price). I did try that one after years of seeing it on the menu, for my 30th birthday. Ended up bringing home an absurd amount of leftovers even despite bringing 20 or so friends. It was an enjoyable experience all the way around, though the couple of vegans who tagged along didn't appreciate the tableside carving.
