Driving and hopefully dining my way to Santa Barbara, CA.

I'll be driving from west Michigan via i-94, i-80, i-70, Utah, through Vegas, and a portion of LA en route to Santa Barbara next week. Hoping that LTH can guide me to some unique not to far off the path places to eat along the way.

I'm open to any and all suggestions that will help me avoid chain fast food and hopefully be memerable enough and worthy of follow up post(s).
