Looking to make candy this fall and would prefer something other than the wrapped individual pieces. Any ideas? I didn't see any at the Affy Taple outlet recently but wasn't looking then. I tried Arway but no luck either. Used to buy a bucket from Karp's back in the day but they are not longer around. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but seeing it in that catalog yesterday is what made me post the question. It's $29.95 plus $8 shipping which seems a little spendy. I was thinking surely in a city with one of the greatest candy-making legacies of the world such a product would be available locally somewhere.

Unfortunately most of the candy companies are long gone. I don't think Ferrara-Pan makes caramels. Maybe you could use Lemonheads instead?

It's pretty easy to make your own -- cheap too.

Another possiblilty would be Long Grove Confectionary. I don't know if they sell in bulk, but it's worth a call.
