    Hi,

At present, we are 232 people.

Check lists to make sure nametag and food descriptions are as you hoped.

I have a feeling we may need more ice than is already pledged.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

-5 gallons of a locally-brewed hefeweizen flavored with coriander and lemongrass.
---Possibly a small amount of habanero stout if I can figure out a non-glass container to bring it in.
-A pork thing, I still haven't decided what to call it, redneck rillettes maybe? deviled pork?
---probably some crackers to eat it with
-chakalaka, a South African vegetable & bean relish, from my expatriate Afrikaner friend Marinus' recipe.
---some kind of starch to eat it with, something polenta-like would be most authentic, though Marinus says it "goes a treat with cornbread" too, will figure this out.
-a pork and cauliflower curry maybe? if it comes together.
-Saint Pizza says she's making a cake :)

Obviously I'm still scrambling here, but I'm relatively sure these will be our contributions.

    Hi,

I'm sure in Mike's hands the Harold's Chicken Fried Rice will be very well made.

Between new additions and cancellations, we are at 232. Everyone has been added to the list, menus added or exchanged.

Sorry you (probably) can't make it, leek.

C2, I notice from the spreadsheet that leek was down for plates, napkins, cutlery and cups -- we have way, way enough cutlery and cups from last year. What we may not have enough of are plates; we have maybe 200 or so of mixed varieties, but as people sometimes use more than one plate, we might need more. More napkins might be warranted, as well.

I have two large boxes of black garbage bags, so we're set there, and I also have antibacterial soak and wipes from last year's inventory.

it would be TRAGIC not have enough plates. between food and desserts, i'd figure at least 2.5 plates /person. we are way short of that if we have only 200. i'll let someone else volunteer to bring them, as i'm bringing a fairly large quantity of food and drink. justjoan

I figured out that I will bring desserts- peppy poppy seed cake and merry berry muffins. I will not be bringing a guest though. He didn't want to take the trek- he is 71 yrs. I can probably stay for clean up, cause I won't get there real early.

I was Alliance Paper this morning. Picked up napkins, spoons and, for lack of a better description, paper boats, think hot dogs and burgers at a take out stand. I have more than I need of all three for my MaPo Tofu and will be happy to share.

Chicken stock chuckling away for MaPo Tofu, looking forward to tomorrow's festivities.

Bean - so sorry! I was looking forward to the meeting you.

joan - are these plates hanging around the house? You can bring them and keep them in the car, if needed.

I am bringing 6-inch plates in case there is a shortage. I am also bringing a box of forks. I also have a few hundred napkins. It's a good thing I store these things for other meetings.

I am going to print labels now. Don't worry about any additional people or changes, keep making them. I can always add a sheet in the end.

Please note I always forget someone's label or nametag. It is not personal. I don't even do it intentionally. It happens. I do my best and so does MHays and The GP to keep track.
