Yeah you rite! I'm down here now & all kinds of gulf seafood are widely available. Some places are bringing oysters in from Texas, as it will take time for the oyster beds in Louisiana to recover from the freshwater incursion (they had to open up the gates in the river levee below New Orleans to help keep the oil out of the marshes, and this dropped the salinity levels in many of the oyster beds to the point where the oysters could not survive - they need brackish water to live, fresh water kills them). Gulf fish and Louisiana shrimp are available everywhere.
