We are being taken out for dinner by out of towners who know we love Korean restaurants and have never been. However, we don't want to take the drive to the city due to proximity of all..we thought of going to Woo Lae, but see very mixed reports, from horrid to wonderful. And most based on the service. We are looking for tabletop cooking, and also thought of Koreana and Solliphana. I would like to keep the drive back to Lake in the Hills at a minimum as I just got back in town from business travel for the last 4 days ;-)

    Thanks for your help!

If you don't mind traveling as far as Des Plaines, I can highly recommend New Seoul.

Concur that as far as food goes, New Seoul is much better than Woo Lao Oak. Woo Lae Oak has nicer decor, but they do iron plates, not live charcoal.
