    LTH,

Years ago, in Texas, I discovered the joys of Valbreso (French) feta cheese, which I discovered at a Persian grocery store in North Dallas. It's a very rich and creamy feta, with I'm pretty sure a higher fat content than many types. Leave it to the French!

Lincolnwood Produce and Pete's Fresh Market sell it bulk at their deli counters, but I prefer the cans which have a much longer shelf life tucked away in the fridge. Once I open a can, I've found that it's best to use it up rather quickly. Until the recent fire in Greektown I would periodically pick up a can or two from Athens Grocery to stash away. No more...

I'm asking if any of you LTH Stealth Shoppers have seen this recently, and if so, where?

    Thanks so much,

    Evil Ronnie

I'd call first, but I'm pretty sure I've seen these at Marketplace on Oakton, underneath the selection of ethnic sour creams in the dairy case on the bottom shelf. Here's an image I dug up for reference: http://assadsbakery.com/shop/popup_imag ... 7dd6def027

Once again, LTH Stealth Shoppers rise to the call of duty.

Picked up a can last night at Marketplace on Oakton along with a 3L Colavita EVOO.

    Thanks, Michelle,

I saw Valbreso in the can at Fresh Farms Niles yesterday (but don't go on a Sunday unless you have to!) in a self-serve deli case. FF carries a good variety of fetas.

See now, we were there on the same day and there was absolutely no possibility of us running into each other! You're right - if you are a weekend shopper, it's worth waiting for an off hour at least - from 2-4 that place, especially the produce/fish/deli area is a zoo.

Amen, sister. We were there shortly after 4, and the deli and fish counters were madly busy. Given how much people post about this store, I suspect I'm weaving between LTHer shopping carts all the time there.
