    Hi,

Unless it has been put away for the season or was on temporary loan, I passed it last summer:

I might just attend this one!

    LTH,

Just made a bunch of pizza dough, enough for a dozen pizzas, for the BGE demos at Cedar Hill tomorrow. My cooking and tasting demos will be Buttermilk brine chicken wings and pizza, lots of pizza!

Should be fun, hope to see you there.

    Enjoy,
    Gary

I plan on heading up... since it's not that far and I've been thinking about getting a BGE. Would it be wrong to bring you a cold one?

    We'll be there!

Don't forget to smoke fresh pork shanks so you have plenty to add flavor to your mid-winter bean pots.

    Hi Gary,

Thanks for being patient with my son who likes to ask a million questions. We both enjoyed your pizza's crispy crust. My son said that when he grows up, he would like to buy an egg.

I ditto Phil, the wings and pizza were wonderful, as was everything else we tasted.
What a fun afternoon , and a beautiful day.
After we left, we walked off some of our nibbles out at the Volo bog which was so pretty in the afternoon sun.
Thanks for letting us all know about this fun event.

    LTH,

Was a great time yesterday at the Eggfest, nice turnout in general and always a treat to see LTHers.

Pizza was well received as were the buttermilk brined wings and PhilW, who was kind enough to assist yesterday, did a great job as designated wing wrangler.

Shorty, your son is super friendly with a terrific smile, though he sure can fire off the questions. :) Interestingly, he did not ask the one question I was most frequently asked. "How long do the pizza's take on the Big Green Egg" ~8-10 minutes at 550.*~

    Terrific pictures Mel!

    Enjoy,
    Gary

*I dropped the temp a bit for yesterdays event as at 650-700 I still tend to go past blister (burn) the bottom crust of 1 out of 3 or 4 pizzas

Thanks for the custom cheese pizza which you baked per my son's request.

Here is a picture of Gary with another great tasting pizza. He certainly is generous with the toppings.

Gary -- if you had brought some of your grill seasoning/rub along, I would have bought one.

Just looked at the pizza again, sure looks like a lot of toppings. I made 15+ pizzas, maybe one got away from me, but I think it looks so sausage heavy because I have it tilted for the picture.

Always nice to see you Shorty, glad your son liked his cheese pizza.

    Enjoy,
