I had read your earlier remarks advising they were similar to gizzards. In my mind's eye, I thought they would be tough and perhaps livery tasting. Instead, I was delighted by their soft texture once you were past the introduced crunchy exterior and their mild taste.
While everyone enjoyed the shock value of referring to turkey testicles as nuts. There were no lines. Yet enough traffic to keep these turkey nuts fresh, hot and crisp.
This event was certainly a motorcyle enthusiast mecca. Black clothing and leather was the dominant style. Dressed in jeans and t-shirt, I stood out like a sore thumb. Surprisingly parking was no issue, because few visitors to this event arrive by car.
While I might be willing to entertain another type of preparation for the turkey testicles, perhaps a mousseline. I think my one visit to a turkey testicle festival completely satisfied my curiosity.
