Take a virtual trip to Chicago’s ethnic markets and other secret culinary corners. Marilyn Pocius, author of A Cook’s Guide to Chicago, shares her finds and tips. Includes samples! Registration is required; space is limited.

Marilyn Pocius has been writing, cooking, and eating weird things all her life. Growing up on the Southwest Side, Pocius learned that Chicago is a collection of ethnic neighborhoods (hers was Lithuanian). As a freelance writer, she has contributed to The Chicago Tribune, Pioneer Press suburban papers, and others. Pocius currently works as a cookbook editor for Publications International in Lincolnwood. She is also active in the local food scene and a member of IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals), Culinary Historians of Chicago, and Slow Food USA.

    Hi,

Marilyn does a terrific job. She is also an occasional contributor to this board, too.

I might be there, though I cannot commit at the moment.

    Regards,
