They mention places in London, Hungary, the Western U.S., NYC, etc.
Can anyone recommend a scary (not necessarily Halloween decorated) place to drink in Chicago?

Post #6 - October 13th, 2010, 6:09 pmSt. Andrew's Inn in Edgewater is said to be haunted. I have heard its owner recount some very odd-sounding occurrences, and seen a surprising photograph.

Post #7 - October 14th, 2010, 9:56 amHow about Cigars & Stripes in Berwyn? (OK, it's technically not Chicago.) It's a great neighborhood bar, also supposedly haunted, with a solid selection of craft and microbrew beer in bottles and taps here. (Plus, of course, cigars for those of you who are into them.) Perhaps it's the Berwyn connection, but it's the kind of bar I would imagine the Son of Svengoolie going to. The clientele is an eclectic mix, but tends to avoid some of the more annoying hipsterism of bars in more popular Chicago neighborhoods. One of my favorite bars in the Chicago area.

Don't know for sure, but it is also probably the only bar in Berwyn with Belgian beer on tap.
The Fireside Inn is right across the street from the castle-like entrance to the Rosewood cemetary. It is on a dark and quiet stretch of Ravenswood, making the walk back to the car kind of creepy.
