I got a stainless steel saucepan from LC a few years ago and decided to get a few more pieces of LC stainless. When I opened the box from Amazon, the new saucepan didn't match since apparently LC just redesigned the stainless steel. Now the handle kind of bulges in the middle and is squared off instead of rounded at the end so it's quite an obvious change. The helper handle is also more squared off and has "Le Creuset" written on it. My new stainless saucepan is staying in the box while I look for the old style since I like the feel of the old handles better.

As I was googling, I noticed another post about design changes in the cast iron enamel ware. I haven't seen any changes for the bakeware but I'm pretty glad that I just ordered more of that as well.

So, if you were thinking about ordering more LC and wanted your set to match, or thinking about trolling the outlet stores, now would be a good time.

Your post reminded me that I saw a bunch of original-design LC enamel pieces a few weeks ago at the Marshall's on Fullerton just west of Clybourn/Ashland (in the big strip mall with the Chuck E. Cheese, Dominick's, Old Navy, etc.). They were on a shelf near the checkout, and were priced quite reasonably.
