Cholesterol be damned! The LTH North Lunch Group is heading for some deep fried seafood goodness next Friday. Captain Porky's gets a whole lotta love here on LTH - viewtopic.php?f=14&t=616&hilit=captain+porky's

All are welcome. We'll figure out the ordering logistics depending on the final head count. Complimentary samples of Lipitor will be available. 8)

    Hi,

Please add Helen, who likes any excuse to visit for their jumbo shrimp.

Wish I could join y'all -- but we're heading northwest past Madison on Friday (House on the Rock/American Gods event)... it's just a little out of the way.

    Hi,

I locked myself out this evening. It was one of those, "Everyone thought the other one did it when nobody did a thing," situations.

I used my time by driving up to Captain Porky's for dinner. I warned them we had at least eight for lunch next Friday. Dino suggested he could do something crazy like cook us a goat dish. I promised to call Thursday evening with our final count, they will make sure we have seating.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

    Ah, excellent!

I've been really wanting to go to Captain Porky's, and now, an LTH lunch makes it an even better idea.

Please add one more to the list of attendees.

Against my better judgement, I'm in. Usually when I begin a statement with, "Against my better judgement..." I end up having a good time.

I hope they have t-shirts. How can one NOT get a t-shirt that says, "Captain Porky's"?

    Hi,

I called Captain Porky's to alert them we are 13 strong for tomorrow. They are reserving tables for us.

Dino suggested a goat dish for tomorrow. I said if they are up to it, fine. Otherwise we will order what we want when we get there.

    Cathy2

I'm afraid I woke up this morning with cold/flu-like symptoms and will need to take a pass on Porky's.
    My apologies to the group.

    Hi all,
Going to have to cancel on lunch today--got my hands full at home w/a foster puppy and don't feel comfortable leaving him yet. But if anyone is interested in adopting a very cute little dog, definitely let me know!!

    See you next time!

Sorry to say that I'm out, too. I had a feeling that this might happen since it's my first week back at work after being away for a long time. I've just got too much to do here at the office.

    Have a great lunch!

    Any reports on this outing?

I'm headed up that way next week on business and thought I might stop by for a meal, depending on the timing. I've only been to CP once--had the shrimp and thought they were terrific, but I'm looking to branch out on my second visit. I'm checking the main thread also, but was curious what the LTH North group ordered and how it was....

Great food and company. To be honest, I don't recall everything that was ordered. ChgoMike was the designated photographer.

I do remember needing a nap afterwards. 8) Dino was a great host.
