Deciding which French restaurant to go to for my birthday. I'm especially interested in duck, salade lyonnaise, and great dessert. Leaning towards Bistro 110, Michaels, Koda, or Le Petit Paris. My go-to French is Le Sardine.

    Cyrano's duck can't be beat.

Thanks for the reminder. I have to get there very soon for this dish.

I like the breast of duck with the leg confit served with braised red cabbage and wild rice in a green peppercorn sauce at KIKI's Bistro 900 N. Franklin. For dessert the crème brulée with a chocolate bottom is very good, as well as the profiterolles

I like the roast duck for two at Le Bouchon. The salad is excellent as well.

It's been several years since I had it, but Kiki's was the closest I've had in Chicago to the French breast/confit combo.

Of the places you mention, I would recommend Restaurant Michael. The food is excellent, the wine list is deep and the service is very professional.
