Sable was fantastic. Chef was in the house and things were hopping. Uberfriendly service toward this middle-aged girls b-day celebration. Fun booth right across from the kitchen so I could see plating for the place. Started out with three cocktails-Flowers for Algernon-is that not a great name- a gin based drink, and two bourbon styled drinks-Fancy Flight(?) with A. bitters and maraschino Woodford Reserve -very potent and the other had cardamon? Yum. We started out with the truffled eggs-creamy, smooth filling and firm egg but could not taste the truffle oil. Still delicious. We had the mussles-nice with a spicy chilipepper flake and tomato base -we asked for extra bread to sop up the goodness. We chose the pear flat bread-very sweet with pine nuts honey and brie. Next time I will try the lamb sausage flatbread. We had the shortrib sliders. Could taste the rootbeer glaze -thefried onion rings on the top did not add much. A nice red onion compote would have been a great condimment. My friends loved the tuna tartar (I deferred). Great wine selection. The pumpkin dessert was yummy-crunchy grahmn cracker/cookie like base, pumpkin mousse and fresh whipped cream with a smear of carmel. The whole bill came in under $100 pre tip. We had a early reservation and when we left at 8:15 the place was packed.
What disease did cured ham actually have?
