Ok, so I noticed that people were saying Gramp's Frozen Custard wasn't on here when I was doing a little searching. Now were on here and open for any questions, comments and suggestions.
Brief history-Gramp's has been open for 11 years going on it's 12th year. We are on our 5th owner now and still going strong in these tough times. We are locally owned and operated and we do wholesale to a local grocery store and hope to expand our wholesales within the year. Every year we traditionally close down for the winter and re-open again around spring break, but this year we decided to stay open all year round. We are located on the corner of 1st street and IL street. We serve custard here and we also serve pizza from Micheal Angelo's, a little pizza shop in Wasco. We also serve your four-legged dog friend and offer free Shammy Dog Cones. We have won the Reader's Choice award several times and hope to continue doing so. We love to serve our community as well as our customers and help out our local neighbors. Since we have just changed ownership there will be a few changes to our beloved shop. Don't be afraid if things are different around the shop, we are still the same loving place you have always known and loved and we will continue to serve that same great custard.
    Everyday custard choices-
    Vanilla
    Chocolate
    Brown-Cow (Vanilla and Chocolate swirl)
    Strawberry
We also change our flavors every day so who knows we may have your favorite

Also I forgot to mention, we sell pies and cakes too. If you would like to have one specially made just for you, we suggest you call at least three days in advance.
    Thank you :D

Is that in Fox Island Square by where Erik & Me used to be?

I worked at the Blue Goose right across the street when I was in high school, which of course has since moved. I can't believe how much that street has changed. I'm still distressed that the Manor is gone. Yeah I know, they relocated to Randall Road, but it's just not the same. I miss the riverfront seating.

    Hi,

I visited Gramp's between events for my cousin's wedding. You can find a link to my comments here: viewtopic.php?p=40404#p40404

Mike G followed my cookie crumbs there earlier this year: viewtopic.php?p=324982#p324982

Yes, this is Fox Island Square. That whole First Street development with the parking deck houses something like 6 or 7 restaurants now. The Manor has closed it's South Elgin location on Randall and is no more.

We dropped in at Gramp's this weekend. The custard is harder-packed and more ice-creamlike than I'm used to from places like Kopp's in Milwaukee. We liked the cinnamon flavor, which was kind of like the ice-cream equivalent of a cinnamon bun.
