Lithuanian Rye Bread - Where to buy
I live near Rockford, IL. Am looking for anyplace that sells this. Does anyone know of a bakery or supplier that ships?

Never been there myself, but it looks like Racine Bakery might have what you're looking for:

Yeah, you might to call Racine and talk to them. They distribute their breads through many different supermarkets, and may have an outlet close to you.
What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?

Here's a recipe and another mail-order source. You might also check with the Rockford Lithuanian Club.

    Hi,

While this may not apply to someone living in Rockford. Garden Fresh Markets in the northern suburbs has a lot of middle European breads. Some are direct from Russia and other nearby regions.
