I was just reading some of the threads on the food exchanges and they seem really awesome. I'm lactose intolerant though, and I wonder if any other lactose intolerant folks are interested in doing a food exchange that excludes dairy? I don't mind organizing the first one if enough other people are interested.

The vegetarian exchange has been going on a bit over a year now. Most of the offerings, someone correct me if I'm wrong, have been vegan. You can look back through the threads and see what folks brought, but there's not been a lot of dairy there, although dairy is acceptable.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I love meat - pork, beef, venison - you name it! Just sadly cannot have dairy.

I don't think there's much dairy in the Omnivore's exchange either. You can either pass on those meals, if you live alone. I know they have a member who is allergic to mushrooms. People just indicate they used mushrooms and that member passes it on to her spouse.

Maybe you'd have better luck if you did an allergen-free exchange instead, one that is dairy-, gluten-, and wheat-free.
