Most expensive and least expensive cupcakes in Chicago?

With the cupcake craze going strong, I was wondering today what the most and least expensive options are in Chicago for cupcakes? And I don't mean at Jewel, but at bakeries that specialize in cupcakes and sell them individually.

Are more's speciality cocktail cupcakes, like the White Russian and Margarita, the most expensive in the city at $5.25 a pop? Or am I forgetting some even more upscale purveyor?

We did cupcakes for our wedding back in May. We looked at Oak Mill Bakery in Niles, Jarosch in Elk Grove Village, Bennison's in Evanston and Molly's in Lincoln Park. Several people theorized that a regular bakery would be cheaper than a cupcake-specific bakery, but that wasn't necessarily true for us. Molly's is the only cupcake bakery I've been to (and who we used for our wedding), but I've seen the prices at the other places and they're not even close. Bennison's was the only regular bakery we went to that was cheaper, but it wasn't by very much, and while good, the cupcakes weren't close to being as good as Molly's.

Crumbs has cupcakes for $3.75/each. They are huge and have some exciting flavors. The place was originally from NYC, and just opened up their first Chicago location two weeks ago.

Crumbs are big and expensive. I really wanted to like them while in NYC, but they are just not good. Too bad, because the flavors are interesting, and they LOOK scrumptious!

I really like Molly's Cupcakes on Clark in Lincoln Park, though I can't remember the prices. Phoebe's in East Lakeview (Broadway) makes a nice Salted Carmel and Tuxedo (vanilla cake with a milky-chocolate frosting) for $3.03 including tax. I guess that puts it somewhere in the middle...?
