Well folks after a long hiatus crawfish season is almost upon us! We at Toons get very excited for this time of year. We will be having the first boil of the Season @ 1 pm Super Sunday. We also have a local New Orleans style Brass Band, the BS Brass Band gonna jam and funk it up for 2 sets starting at 2. This is the party for all ya'll who don't care about the game because we will be done serving by 5. $25 includes all you can eat crawfish, red beans and rice, all the fixins that go in the pot. Corn, potato, garlic , mushrooms sausages etc. We will have some beer specials as well. We will pass the hat for the band and regular menu as well for non mud bug eater's. So hope to see some of you LTHer's in the house. Go Bear's!!

Does Toons accept credit cards or is it cash only? I looked on their website but it doesn't indicate whether they take plastic.

Yep. V, MC, Amex. (At least they did the last time I was there.)

edited to add: This might be a pay-cash-at-the-door kind of event. You'd better call if it really matters to you.

Thanks, Rich. I just called Toons and didn't get a definitive answer. The lady who answered said she didn't know. She told me to bring cash if I have it but they wouldn't turn me away if I wanted to charge it. I better bring cash just in case. I was being lazy and trying to avoid a walk to my bank in this cold if I could avoid it.

We do take credit cards and will run a tab for the drinks. However the $25 for the boil is separate and it is a wristband deal so yes cash is the preferred method. We will make an exception but steer people to the ATM. Hope this clears up the question. Looking forward to a great afternoon of Crawfish, New Orleans style Brass Band funkin' it up and good times!!

Stuffed full o' mudbugs (probably 5 pounds of 'em) and ready to watch the game in the comfort of my own home. Danny really knows how to throw down a Cajun feast. Better than the food was meeting jhawk1, jimswside, Da Beef, and stevez!! Good times, good food, good pineapple shots and great people!! I'm already looking forward to the next feast at Toons.

We had a great time at Toons yesterday. Danny and staff really know how to throw a fais do do. I was busy eating mudbugs, but The Chow Poodle took a few photos that I'll share here.

We left at about 3pm and I think the crawfish were almost gone by that time. They went quickly.

Ill echo the above sentiments. As expected Toon's yesterday was alot of fun & nice getting together with old and some new friends again. The BS brass band was off the hook, and the mudbugs were as good as always.
