We arrived before they had really opened for the day. They were ready to serve us whatever we wanted if we could wait 20 minutes or so. I chirped, "What do you have fresh off the smoker?" There was no direct reply. I commented to ReneG, "I think we will be getting yesterday's reheated BBQ."
We visited Arnie's down the street for an Italian beef, then returned. The small tips and sausage, Italian sausage and not hot links, was pretty dry despite the sauce. I reheated it today in the microwave, it was more tender than the day before.
No idea on what type of pit they may be using.
The couple who run it are very nice people. They have only been open a few months. The soul food dinners on Sunday are every other week presently. If they gather a following, it could evolve into a weekly feature.
