Assuming you're driving up from Chicago:
    Symphony's
1945 Central St. (just west of Green Bay Rd - north side of the street)
    Evanston
    (847) 869-0818

EDIT: I initially wrote this post to mention Bluette, the new restaurant from the folks at Sweets and Savories, but it's closed on Mondays except for the 14th. Sorry! (Mondays are a problem; other nearby restaurants closed on Mondays include Jilly's Cafe, Jacky's on Prairie, and Michael.)

Walker Brothers on Green Bay Road is great if you like omelets, crepes, and their big puffed-up cinnamony apple pancake. Another good place nearby is Convito Cafe in Plaza del Lago; it's an Italian-French bistro. Both of these are open Mondays. Convito and Symphony's both close at 9; Walker Brothers is open till 10.

Mexican, a bit upscale, with a pleasant atmosphere. Very respectable food with quality ingredients.
    Depot Nuevo

Just a couple of blocks from the theater

Actually, Homer's is great for after-theater dessert. Assuming you like ice cream this time of year.

On a Monday, Homer's is open till 10, Depot Nuevo till 9.

Bobtail Ice Cream is right next to the theater, but I don't know their hours. EDIT: I see below that Bobtail is closed till spring (thanks, Diane!).

Depot Nuevo and Bobtail are the only places mentioned so far which are a short walk from the theater.

Bobtail Ice Cream is closed until spring. Kama Kura Japanese is just east of the theatre-perfectly respectable sushi and Japanese food. Big Tomato Pizza just reopened across the street from the theatre, haven't tried it yet, I always make my own. You can grab a glass of wine and appetizers at The Bottle Shop at the corner of Wilmette Ave and Central Avenue, I'm not sure of their hours. The Noodle is one of our favorites-fresh noodles and delicious sauces.

Kama Kura is closed on Mondays.

We walked past Kama Kura after dinner at Depot Nuevo and, looking through the window, thought the placed looked very attractive, so I was hoping the sushi was commensurately good, and it sounds like it is. Good to know.
