I was thinking of including cabbage/apple/ginger slaw (homage to Brown Sack) as a side. This would complicate the reheating and wouldn't be ideal for freezing. But will be a cooling counterpoint to the pork heat.

Question: Skip the side or instruct to separate when re-heating or freezing?

Can you just put side in a separate container, perhaps ziploc bag?

I've had this issue before when my main, empanadas, didn't fit in the container. I just put empanadas in brown paper bag & didn't worry about plastic container.

Maybe include it in a separate baggie?

I'll be making Mystery Arancini. Each arancino looks about the same, but each has a different filling - you won't know what's in there 'til you bite into each of them. Inspired in part by LTH's own LAZ.

Just wanted to say that I sure appreciate the thought and effort you put into the dishes you create for our exchange.

I am sorry to say that I won't be able to exchange on Monday. My schedule has been crazy with home care of 2 Moms, a sick cat and myself, that I won't have time to cook. I will come to dinner, if that's okay. Sorry about the late notice.

Lee--are you exchanging? I think people are assuming that you are so please let us know. I could probably pick up you.

I will participate in the exchange, even if a friend has to bring my stuff over. I will confirm for dinner once I know myself.

I will make Bess Feigenbaum’s Cabbage Soup from the New York Times. Inspired by a link by eatchicago's wife, I made this for dinner this evening. Wonderful!

    Regards,

Cathy--are you in for dinner? I'm going to make a reservation so just wanted to confirm our headcount.

    Hi,

In the jumble taking stuff out at home, I am wondering where to match:
    - Coleslaw goes with Wendy's Patricia Quintana's Pork Loin in Chipotle Sauce
    - Little cup of sauce goes with ? And can it be frozen.

    Lovely evening, as usual, thanks!

    Regards,

Cheese sauce is for the arancini - you could try freezing it; not sure ow well it'll work.

Great evening and a great stash of food. Thanks everyone.
Unfortunately, took me over 2 hours to get home due to some accident on the road. A good reminder to keep your gas tank full and keep some drinking water in the car - I had the first, but not the second.

Alistair just gave me the stink eye for eating some pasta con ceci since he thinks it's rude for me to be in front of folks tomorrow after eating it.

So here's the warning, there's great garlic & onion all through that dish so given who you are and how your body processes those goodies, you may need to eat it when you aren't going on a job interview or presentation.

P4L's update reminded me to remind you to PLEASE cook (or nuke) the beans for a while longer before eating them because they're still a bit al dente--sorry!!
