We are getting together next Monday, Feb 21, around 7:30

Plan is for beer and popcorn at Beacon Pub followed by Goldyburgers down the block. If you don't like beer and greasy food, this is probably not the night for you. Otherwise, it should be fun. Men or women-dressed-in-drag only.

I sent notes to past attendees. I've got about 8 confirmed or probables....that depends if the hospital food has not killed Hammond by that time.

    Goldyburgers

I should be able to make it, but like many others, will be a little late.

Thanks to all who attended. We had 11 in all. Good company and booze.

BTW, I think Goldyburgers makes a damn fine burger.

    That was a great evening!
I really enjoyed the chance to meet some new people.

But seriously Hammond - who goes to Goldyburger and orders a hotdog?!

Thanks to the Milkman for delivering another fine outing.

I cannot say that Goldyburgers is the best burger out there, but that in no way means that Goldyburger is not one of the best places out there--well maybe not best, best, but a place I'm always happy to visit.

I did want to post on Beacon, someplace I never knew I was happy about, but this was a very excellent little bar, with a huge, interesting beer list. Goldyburger actually offers pretty mediocre beer. I wonder if I can just bring my burger across the street? I look forward to returning to this Beacon.

Yes. Beacon is a pretty cool little place. Nice beer selection. Poor whiskey selection though. For some reason they didn't fire up the popcorn machine last night. Kind of disappointing.

Anybody got any pics of last night?

I can tell you that the first unknown burger is teatpuller's - he's the only guy I know who puts ketchup on a blue cheese burger.

Some random pictures that I'm hoping will be charming despite the utter lack of skill employed in their creation.

It was cool that Pigmon showed up, confirming that boys everywhere are invited to these events.

Goldyburgers maintains the most scabrous and unlaved lavatory facilities I've been in for a very long time; I felt compelled to document:

That was no hot dog; that was a Polish (though I ordered a hot dog).

Rob, Ronnie and I were the last to leave; but we didn't actually depart the premises until, standing outside, we watched our server (who clearly resented us) lock and chain the front door. A good night!
