ABOUT DAVID LEBOVITZ
After spending years as a pastry chef in San Francisco’s Bay-area, David Lebovitz left the restaurant business in 1999 to write the first of his four best-selling cookbooks, Room for Dessert. In 2003, he moved to Paris and later penned The Sweet Life in Paris, chronicling the adventures of his new life abroad.
Now David is partnering with Spice Islands Trading Company to share unique perspectives on food and help uncover the difference in cooking and baking with the highest quality herbs and spices from the Spice Islands brand. After all, what good is premium 100% pure vanilla extract, without a crème brûlée or homemade ice cream to go into?
David attended Callebaut College in Belgium and Ecole du Grand Chocolat Valrhona in France, and took advanced courses in baking and the art of confectionery at the renowned Ecole Lenôtre in Paris. In addition to tending to his popular blog (
